We worked closely with award winning hospitality consultancy Egg Soldiers, to create and deliver an exciting new restaurant concept for Mercure Hotels. From initial research and insight gathered by the team, we developed a name and brand strategy to bring the new vision to life.
With a heavy focus on dishes inspired by the grill, the premise of the offer was everything from the high street, but done even better, so the new brand had to have a wide appeal, offering a delicious mix of crowd-pleasers and comfort food at all times of the day.We handcrafted an identity to act as a sign off for the brand, along with a fully adaptable design system, that touched on the personality of the location in Bedford, that would consistently work across all communication touchpoints.
From the design of the food and drink menus and digital advertising to interior signage and uniforms, we brought everything alive with art directed photography and video, that fully captured the spirit of the brand. We also developed a comprehensive social strategy, with creative assets and copy for the launch and beyond, that would keep hungry followers coming back for more!
Within a few months of opening, the launch proved to be a huge success. Spend per guest had risen by 34% compared to the previous year, and total F&B revenue was up by 20%. Everyone is revelling in the new look and tastes, and we’re delighted with the results too!
